In this section, you will find the most frequently asked questions from those who want to get a tattoo, along with the answers:
Question: I want to book an appointment at the studio, how do I do that?
Answer: We work by appointment. We coordinate the time of the visit and other questions via Telegram messaging or by phone! Call us at the number in the contacts or send us your contact number in the chat (at the bottom of the page) or in Telegram (in the contacts). Consultations are free, but if you agree with the artist on a session or sketch development, you need to leave a deposit. If your plans change, let us know immediately (two days in advance), and the deposit is fully refunded or the session is rescheduled.
Question: Does it hurt to get a tattoo?
Answer: It all depends on the individual sensitivity of the person, the chosen placement for the tattoo, and impressionability. If you initially set yourself up for pain that will be hard to endure, the pain intensifies... Therefore, you just need to relax and trust the professional - it is a quite tolerable procedure. For highly sensitive areas, we sometimes apply a special anesthetic ointment upon your request.
Question: Is it possible to cover up an old tattoo with a new design, and how much does it cost?
Answer: There is a special procedure for this purpose called a "Cover-up". With its help, you can not only cover up an unsuccessful or old tattoo but also hide surgical scars, wound marks, burns, as well as any non-aesthetic skin formations or defects (pigment spots) with a design. In this situation, each case must be considered individually, as every tattoo has its own nuances, and in some cases, laser correction is simply necessary to fix the old design or select a similar thematic image. This work is usually performed by "lightening" the old design with a laser or covering saturated elements with light ink. Usually, a larger design is chosen, and you get a beautiful, altered tattoo. Examples of corrected tattoos and covered scars can be viewed in the portfolio.
Question: If there is a scar on the stomach, is it possible to hide it with a tattoo?
Answer: In this case, there is a strict condition that the scar from a surgery or wound must be at least six months to a year old, and small cuts or scars must be at least 3 months old. The artist will cover it with a beautifully selected design, where, through professional techniques, they can camouflage it within correctly chosen image details, making the scar practically invisible. Examples of covered scars can be viewed in the portfolio.
Question: Is it dangerous to get a tattoo, and are there health risks?
Answer: Scientists have long proven that tattoos strengthen the immune system and are good for your health! When color pigment is driven under the skin, the immune system resists it, activating a complex of measures to protect the body. The larger the tattoo area, the more the immune system "trains," thereby strengthening itself! It is only important to observe safety rules during tattoo application and healing!
In our studio, the tattoo application procedure is performed using special hypoallergenic ink and exclusively disposable sterile needles that are hermetically sealed and subject to disposal after use. The artist works in disposable gloves, and all surfaces are treated with bactericidal liquids. Tattoo ink during the procedure is taken from a disposable container, which is thrown away along with the remaining ink at the end of the session. So the artist clearly knows their job and ensures sterility and safety while tattooing. Therefore, a tattoo is completely safe when sanitary standards are met, provided you have no contraindications (more on this below).
Question: Are there any contraindications when getting a tattoo is undesirable?
Answer: In case of any deviations in well-being (colds and fever), after consuming alcohol (alcohol reduces blood clotting and provokes bleeding at the tattoo site), and also if you generally have poor blood clotting, diabetes, cases of epilepsy, heart problems, allergies to the components used, AIDS, or a tendency to scarring.
For girls, there are specific contraindications when getting tattoos is undesirable, namely: during pregnancy or breastfeeding, as well as during "critical days." If herpes is present, the artist will recommend taking specific medications (for example, "Herpevir") before the tattoo session.
Contraindications apply if a person is currently sick (has a fever), has a skin disease, oncological diseases in the acute stage, or other chronic diseases affecting well-being. All these issues must be discussed with a specialist before getting a tattoo.
Question: How to care for a tattoo, and can I take a shower or bath after getting one?
Answer: For the first week, you can wash in the shower (you cannot steam the tattoo or take a bath), and only in warm water. Apply a thin layer of healing ointment (Bepanthen Plus) to the tattoo three times a day. It is advisable to lubricate the tattoo with a protective ointment or petroleum jelly before taking a shower. Physical activity should also be reduced; visiting the gym and pool must be avoided in the first few days. The artist will provide more detailed recommendations after the session.
Question: Is a touch-up always necessary?
Answer: No, a touch-up is not always required. However, if it is necessary, there is nothing wrong with it. After the skin has fully healed, you might notice that some areas of the tattoo have lightened. This happens if the design contains very fine details and lines, or a solid "fill" of a certain color. This is a normal occurrence, and you should not worry about it. During the touch-up, the artist will fix everything, and the tattoo will look perfect. A touch-up may also be required if you did not follow the tattoo care rules discussed with the artist. In this case, the tattoo's appearance might change, and you will also need to book a touch-up session. But it is still better to follow the rules for proper skin healing, because this is a matter not only of aesthetics but also of health.
Question: How does the color of a tattoo change over time?
Answer: After healing, a tattoo loses a bit of its brightness due to the renewal of the upper layer of the epidermis, and from there, everything will depend on the owner. If you want the tattoo to remain bright for many years, you will have to limit your visits to tanning salons. It is advisable to protect the tattoo from direct sunlight on the beach and use tattoo creams with high sun protection.
Question: How much does a tattoo cost?
Answer: The main thing to understand is that the cost depends not so much on the size as on the complexity of the design, its style, and detailing. This directly affects the amount of time needed to complete the tattoo. Therefore, the exact cost, taking into account all execution nuances, can only be determined by the artist personally during a consultation after a detailed discussion of all your wishes. The consultation itself is free and does not obligate you to anything, but only there can you get an exact estimate.
Question: Can I get a temporary tattoo at your studio?
Answer: The word "temporary" sounds somewhat incorrect for a tattoo. Temporary tattoos do not exist in principle! A design for a couple of weeks can be drawn with henna or special paint, using a brush or tube. There are also tattoo stickers! But all this is not a "temporary tattoo," just drawings on the skin. We do not provide such services.
Question: Do you tattoo minors?
Answer: We tattoo minors only with written permission and in the presence of a parent or guardian. With the provision of appropriate documents. Other adults, for example, a brother or sister, will not do.
Question: Do you create custom sketches?
Answer: Yes, of course. All our artists have vast experience in creating custom, unique sketches based on clients' wishes. If you have an idea of what design and style you want to see on your skin, but cannot find a suitable sketch, it is not a problem! Be sure to book a consultation, having previously searched the internet for at least approximate examples of the desired design and style. At the consultation, you will need to explain your idea in detail to the artist, and they will gladly turn your dream into reality. A unique tattoo reflecting your tastes and beliefs is always better than a template "like someone else's"!
Question: Will the tattoo color always remain black, or will it eventually become lighter or get a blue tint?
Answer: This depends on the ink used by the artist and the quality of its composition. If the ink is of poor quality or homemade, the tattoo will fade and turn blue over time. We use high-quality inks from trusted suppliers, and tattoos done by us will stubbornly hold their color for many years.
Now you can book a free consultation with an artist. We will be waiting for you at the agreed time and will always find an option that suits you in terms of price.
